Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Dawn Global LLC ("AletheiaHQ," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use AletheiaHQ and Aletheia Echoes (together, the "Services").

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in via Google or magic link, we receive your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, your name and profile picture as provided by Google.

Echoes profile information. We generate an anonymous handle for your Echoes activity. If you submit content, we associate it with your account internally, even though it's displayed publicly only under your anonymous handle.

Content you submit. Anything you post, comment, vote on, save, or report on Echoes, and any Directives you purchase or save on AletheiaHQ.

Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid tier, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe provides us limited billing metadata (such as subscription status and renewal date).

Automatically collected information. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and similar usage data, collected via server logs and the analytics tools described in Section 4.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to: operate and maintain the Services; process payments; provide customer support; moderate Community Content (see Section 3); detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service; comply with legal obligations; and, where you haven't opted out, send you service-related communications and analyze usage to improve the Services.

3. AI-Assisted Content Moderation

When you submit content to Echoes, the text is sent to a third-party AI service (currently Gemini) to automatically screen for content that likely violates our content policy (see Terms of Service Section 4.3), including likely personal information about private individuals. This automated check is one part of our moderation process alongside human review; it does not make final publish/reject decisions on its own for flagged content.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We also use:

  • Google Analytics, to understand aggregate usage of the Services.
  • Meta Pixel, to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and, where applicable, to build advertising audiences.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in.

5. How We Share Information

We share information with:

  • Service providers who process it on our behalf: Supabase (hosting, database, authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Google (sign-in, content moderation, described in Section 3).
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information, including information you may have expected to be anonymous on Echoes, if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith it's necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of AletheiaHQ, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. The Echoes Anonymity Model

Your identity is not shown to other Echoes users, only your generated handle is. This is a product design choice, not a technical guarantee of untraceability:

  • We retain the link between your account and everything you submit or post, for as long as we retain your account, for moderation and legal-compliance purposes.
  • That link can be disclosed in response to valid legal process (see Section 5), and in that circumstance we may not be able to notify you first, or at all, if legally prohibited from doing so.
  • Anonymity applies to other users of the Services, not to us or to parties who obtain information through lawful process.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 14 days, except where we're required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes, or where content you posted remains associated with your (already-anonymous, to other users) handle for platform integrity.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email contact@dawnsolutions.net. We'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

If you're in California, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; if you're in the EU/UK, you may have rights under the GDPR.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including relying on Supabase's and Stripe's respective security infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we've collected such information, we'll delete it.

11. International Users

Our Services are operated from Georgia, USA / USA. If you access the Services from outside that jurisdiction, your information will be transferred to and processed there.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you (for example, by email or an in-product notice) before they take effect.
