Terms of Service
Last updated: July 31, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AletheiaHQ, including the Aletheia Echoes community intelligence feature (together, the "Services"), operated by Dawn Global LLC (AletheiaHQ), ("AletheiaHQ," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use most features of the Services. Accounts are created via Google sign-in or a magic-link email. We do not require a separate password. You're responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Notify us promptly at contact@dawnsolutions.net if you believe your account has been compromised.
One account covers both AletheiaHQ Directives and Aletheia Echoes.
3. The Directives Service
AletheiaHQ synthesizes information from public filings, government audits, procurement records, and other open records into research summaries ("Directives"). Directives are provided for informational and research purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, investment, or professional advice of any kind. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information in a Directive before acting on it, and you assume all risk associated with doing so. See our full disclaimer at www.aletheiahq.xyz/legal/disclaimer.
4. The Echoes Service
Aletheia Echoes is a community platform where verified-industry users share and read unverified, anonymously-submitted information, commentary, and speculation ("Community Content"). This section applies specifically to Echoes.
4.1 Nature of Community Content
Community Content is submitted by other users, not by AletheiaHQ. We do not verify, endorse, fact-check, or take responsibility for the accuracy of any Community Content. Community voting features (including "Spill" and "BS" indicators) reflect other users' opinions about credibility, not a determination of fact by us. Treat everything you read on Echoes as unverified claims made by anonymous third parties.
4.2 How Anonymity Works
Your identity is not shown to other users of Echoes, you're represented by a generated handle. However, anonymity has limits, described fully in our Privacy Policy.
- We retain an internal association between your account and everything you submit, for moderation, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.
- We may be legally compelled to disclose your identity (for example, in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other legal process), and may do so without further notice to you where legally permitted.
- Anonymity from other users is a product feature, not a guarantee against legal process or law enforcement requests.
4.3 Prohibited Content
You agree not to submit, post, or otherwise share on Echoes any content that:
- (a) Identifies a private individual. Content that names, or provides enough specific detail to reasonably identify, a private person who is not a public figure acting in a public or professional capacity. You may reference companies, projects, products, and public figures acting in a public/professional role; you may not name or make identifiable "the junior analyst who," "the intern who," or any other non-public individual.
- (b) Infringes copyright. Content you don't own the rights to and aren't authorized to share, including but not limited to excerpts from articles, books, or other copyrighted written works, song lyrics, images, or other media belonging to someone else.
- (c) Discloses trade secrets or confidential business information. Non-public information belonging to a business that you are not authorized to disclose, including information protected by an NDA, employment agreement, or other confidentiality obligation you owe to any third party, whether or not that obligation is written. This includes but is not limited to unreleased financials, internal strategy documents, source code, customer lists, and unpublished product information.
- (d) Is defamatory or facilitates harassment. Content that is defamatory, or that facilitates harassment, doxxing, stalking, or a targeted campaign against any identifiable individual.
- (e) Is otherwise illegal, or facilitates a crime.
We use a combination of automated review (including third-party AI tools, see our Privacy Policy) and human moderation to screen submissions, but this screening is not a guarantee that all Prohibited Content will be caught before publication. You are personally responsible for every piece of content you submit, regardless of whether it passes moderation.
4.4 License You Grant Us
You retain ownership of the Community Content you submit. By submitting it, you grant AletheiaHQ a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, and create excerpts or summaries of that content in connection with operating and promoting the Services (including in marketing materials and social media excerpts).
You represent and warrant that: (i) you own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit, (ii) submitting it doesn't violate any obligation you owe to a third party, and (iii) it doesn't violate Section 4.3.
4.5 Moderation and Removal
We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, remove, refuse to publish, or restrict access to any Community Content for any reason, including a suspected violation of these Terms. Publishing a submission is never guaranteed.
4.6 Reporting and Takedown Requests
In-app reporting. Any user can flag content directly from a post using the Report control.
Privacy / PII removal requests. If you are a private individual who believes you've been identified in Community Content in violation of Section 4.3(a), email contact@dawnsolutions.net with a link to the content and a brief description of how it identifies you. We aim to review these requests within [14] business days and will remove content that violates our PII policy.
Confidential information / trade secret removal requests. If you believe Community Content discloses your organization's trade secret or confidential information in violation of Section 4.3(c), email contact@dawnsolutions.net with: (i) a link to the content, (ii) a description of the specific information at issue and why it's confidential, and (iii) a good-faith statement that you have the authority to make this request on behalf of the affected business. We will review and may remove content pending or following that review, at our discretion.
Copyright (DMCA). See Section 13 below.
4.7 Subscriptions
Echoes offers a paid subscription tier ("Lurker") that unlocks additional access. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Submitting content that's approved through moderation may also grant a temporary access pass, on terms described in-product; we may change or discontinue that mechanic at any time.
5. Prohibited Conduct (All Services)
In addition to Section 4.3, you agree not to: access the Services by any means other than the interface we provide; scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the Services except via a sitemap or API we explicitly provide for that purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent access controls (including the Echoes paywall); impersonate any person or entity; use automated means to create accounts or submit content; or interfere with the normal operation of the Services.
6. Intellectual Property
Except for Community Content and other user-submitted material, the Services and their content, features, and functionality are owned by AletheiaHQ and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DIRECTIVE OR COMMUNITY CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALETHEIAHQ AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) $100.
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold AletheiaHQ harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from: (a) your Community Content, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any right of a third party, including intellectual property, confidentiality, or privacy rights.
11. Arbitration Agreement and Class Action Waiver
Please read this section carefully, it affects your legal rights.
You and AletheiaHQ agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. You and AletheiaHQ each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. Arbitration will be conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association in Georgia, USA. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing contact@dawnsolutions.net within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
13. Copyright (DMCA) Policy
We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent including:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., a direct link);
- Your contact information (address, phone number, email);
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you're authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
Designated DMCA Agent: Dawn Global LLC contact@dawnsolutions.net
Counter-notification. If you believe content you submitted was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice with: your contact information, identification of the removed content and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the US, an appropriate judicial district) and that you'll accept service of process from the person who filed the original complaint.
Repeat infringers. We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you (for example, by email or an in-product notice) before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AletheiaHQ regarding the Services. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them freely in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
